In 2007, local races dominated the election cycle coverage. In an attempt to demystify government structure and candidate information, I constructed the newspaper’s first in-house produced in-depth Flash graphic. The information is multifaceted, displaying information on candidates for two separate Visalia races while also including information on nonrunning incumbants. The graphic also provides some contextual information on the structure of the government bodies and the conditions candidates need to meet to be elected.
